Review on Accubrush Paint Edger Piece Jumbo by Cory Whitney

Revainrating 4 out of 5

This is amazing stuff!

I was really doubting if I like it or not based on reviews from professional painters and DIYers. However, this is the bomb.com. We have broken ceilings in our house and traditional edgers with wheels that roll across the ceiling don't work well. So I gave away my benefits voluntarily. While my free hand isn't terrible. IT TAKES FOREVER to paint a room. So I said hell with it and started looking for an edger that would work with the ceiling. Accubrush is coming. It was easy to understand. Getting started is easy. The ONLY reason I didn't give it 5 stars is (in my opinion) 3 minor flaws. First, it can only be used with the left hand. The protective cover is on the left side of the roller, making it almost "one-handed". Second, the outer sticker on the guide is stuck to the downed ceiling in some places, and the sticker seems to be erased from the ceiling. So I have to go back and delete it. And 3) the track from the wheels is, as it were, torn through the paint under the ceiling. I stepped back a little and lifted the wheel off the wall to hide it and where there was still a wheel mark I just brushed it over it. In my opinion, those three things are SO insignificant compared to the time spent in freedom. It would take me over 2 hours to paint the room (especially our basement). I was able to do the entire basement (including the corners) in about 30 minutes. ALL that being said I would absolutely recommend this to others as I have already done. Also, I will never use anything else for the edges again. I'm even a little mad at myself for not getting a more expensive one that you can attach a pole to so I don't have to mess with the whole ladder.

Pros
  • Great construction
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
