The thread works but not with a thread. I increased the screen sensitivity on my phone and it takes 4 to 8 threads to interact with the screen. The thread is very thin, so it's really not that difficult to put 3-4 threads on a medium sewing needle, so 6-8 threads for sewing into fingers. There is a much better conductive thread, I also bought a spool. conductive thread from PiHut, on the spool it is 2-3 times thicker and much darker, but 1 thread is enough to interact with the screen. Of course what you buy is your choice, but I'm just trying to share and save some of your time.
