I am not sure why people are calling this aluminum. It weighs 5 oz/143 grams and is sturdy like stainless steel; however, there is no stamp identifying the material. Be aware of weird shipping messages. I purchased this because the software said I would get it the same day. It took 5 days to get here and for 2-3 days it was in total limbo which made me think of fraud. I did get the product and I like it.
