Video quality (I've only tested it in daylight so far, excellent) It barely reveals my lowered tailgate. The view of my trailer hitch is excellent. I don't like that the included RCA extension cable doesn't complete the power connection to the camera I'll be powering it from. I need to run separate wires as well as a switch to control this camera turning on and off (don't use backup lights to power it). I think the ability to toggle and control the hitch as needed while driving is an added feature. Haven't tested this on night vision yet, hence only 3 stars for night vision. In general I like this camera, its installation and video quality, the price is good. Update after 5 months of use. I stand by my original rating. It's a good camera for the price and I haven't had any problems with it. Use at night with headlights on will cause bleeding. This is expected. My setup is not a normal setup.
