People need to understand what they are getting here. YEARS AGO, sinks were made of cast iron with a ceramic coating. Those shiny finishes were more durable but we cleaned them with strong abrasives which dulled them but removed the stains. Over the years harmful chemicals have been eliminated from the manufacture of sinks, now the finish is not as durable. This Kohler product is just what you need to thoroughly remove stains and condition surfaces. It doesn't replace the shine that's gone with the use of harsh abrasives, but it does get rid of blackheads and blemishes. This new product is different from the classic, popular blue mud, but it also works. Other products like Bar Keeper's Friend are VERY abrasive and while they can remove some stains they can also damage your sink.
