I bought a distributor direct from a Revain dealer who is in my region. Now I have the third ignition controller. While the dispenser appears like a quality product, the electronics fall short. Pertronix will replace modules under warranty, but shipping to California costs me postage. The Pertronix advertisement states that each module goes through two tests to make sure it works and I have to say the new modules work but each one fails within 1,000 miles. I am replacing a Pertronix module with a Delco module. I have used Pertronix products on many aircooled VWs and have been very satisfied but based on my experience with the D1020 I will not be buying Pertronix again in the future.
