New lightweight aluminum alloy housing. Aligned and honed high quality bronze sintered bushings for reduced friction and extended life. Centerless ground corrosion resistant shaft reduces friction and provides concentric operation. Distributor gear is ground to exact tolerances for tighter mesh with camshaft (Bronze distributor gear available). High dielectric strength cap with brass terminals and low resistance center coil brush.

Terrible Performance from this Distributor

Thanks to my knowledge gained in practice, I can say that this ignition parts are a complete waste of time and money. The sound is unpleasant and the car is undrivable. The only good thing about this product is the small size, but that's not enough.

Excellent product for the price

I am very happy with the distributor although the ignition module failed after about half an hour of use. Pertronix replaced it for free.

I have used Pertronix products many times on an air cooled VW and have been very satisfied but based on my experience with the D1020

I bought a distributor direct from a Revain dealer who is in my region. Now I have the third ignition controller. While the dispenser appears like a quality product, the electronics fall short. Pertronix will replace modules under warranty, but shipping to California costs me postage. The Pertronix advertisement states that each module goes through two tests to make sure it works and I have to say the new modules work but each one fails within 1,000 miles. I am replacing a Pertronix module with
