My phone was a few years old and I suspected that the battery had lost some of its capacity. So I bought it for a tester to confirm my suspicions. I tested this device with a known good battery and found it to be accurate enough. I found that my phone's battery is dead and can be replaced. This device really saved me. I took my phone to a repair shop to have the battery replaced and found that the advertised 2800mah battery only holds 1800mah. I showed them the test results and they replaced the battery with another one that was only tested at 1300mAh at the time (worse). I gave up that store and bought a battery online again advertised as 2800mah and only charged up to 1600mah. I quickly realized that these "fake" OEM batteries are a joke and not worth the money. Without this tester I would never have known all this and would have been ripped off. Worth the price.
