I've had these boots for three and a half years. They are thick and warm enough to be worn in a full suit with hood and gloves when diving in New Jersey, but comfortable enough to be worn when diving in the Caribbean. I also wear them on every kayak except in the coldest weather because they protect my feet getting in and out and keep my feet warm but I don't have to worry about them getting wet. nice and thick, with a non-slip tread that has never let me down, whether I'm climbing a dive ladder loaded with gear or wading through slippery rocks to get to my chosen snorkel spot. They also cover your ankles, which can prevent nasty ankle scrapes when navigating narrow coral passages. I should note that I have fairly wide feet and these were the only dive boots that I felt adequately fitted the width of my forefoot. At the same time, they fit snugly enough on the heel. After three and a half years of intensive use, they are holding up perfectly. A small amount of glue is visible near the back of a boot where the sole has separated a bit from the neoprene but the sole is still fully attached to the ground. If both pairs fall tomorrow (which I'm not expecting) I would honestly still consider buying them for good reason and then buying another pair.
