To replace my old (now discontinued) hat, I bought a multi-piece hat that fits well, covers my ears completely (which is vital for me) and keeps me warm. I'm a cyclist and I wear it under my helmet. It's a bit tight for a big head. It has an elasticated hem all around which is nice and helps keep out the cold and wind. This is a good design feature. It covers my big ears so that's good too. If it was a little less snug on my large head I would give it 5 stars. If you have an average head it will probably be a 5 for you, just not for me.
