Love it! I just wanted a cheap, reliable way for my aging mom to be able to contact me when I am in another room. She would shout out to me- at night- but I couldn't always hear her on the second floor. Have one transmitter stationed next to the toilet and the other by her bed. She loves it and so do I. Honestly, besides being louder than her natural voice, the sound has become a pavlov's dog response for me. I get up ALOT quicker when she calls now- really instantaneously. Funny, when she called verbally at 3 am- I would always take awhile to comprehend if it was really her- or if I was imagining or dreaming. None of that problem now I'm up instantly, which is good, because she can get into trouble rather quickly or become rather helpless suddenly. Some complained on a similar device(not this one) that the microwave & garage door could interfere with the signals. That hasn't happened for me at all. Neither transmitting device has set off the doorbell. The doorbell tone is loud and crisp, not muffled. Its hard to miss hearing it. You can even hear it a few rooms down. But I cant explain why: the sound is not annoying or piercing even though it does have excellent volume. I rarely like an item this much. We even found a new use for it. When I'm on the phone and mom needs me but doesn't want to seem interrupt, she just hits the button and I get the idea! We've had this a month and it gets used between 3 and 6 times in a 24 hour period. So far battery is holding up. The white color is nice because its much more visible for her at night. It momentarily lights up blue when you touch it. For about $20, its a steal and so much cheaper than intercoms or more elaborate monitoring systems. Before I had this, mom was much more worried about me being in other rooms- or upstairs. For the most part, she is over her fears because she knows she no longer has to cry out in desperation. This gives her confidence so she can relax. We both love it.
