Review on NuTone S89222000 Motor Assembly for Model 9417, 9417D, 9427, 9427P, 9417DN, VH9417, and VH9427 by Troy Zelazny

Not sure if this is a genuine NuTone part as the description suggests. The bracket was bent in two places and I had to bend it back into shape. The motor assembly was too close to the fan housing for the fan to rotate. I had to add a couple of washers as shims to get the correct spacing. And in the end, the squirrel cage was deformed. It probably wasn't shaped or drilled properly so it wobbled when it turned as another reviewer pointed out, so I removed the cage from the replacement assembly, cleaned it and attached it to the new motor. Works perfectly. Simply more effort than it should have been for an original part.
