Mounting at an angle is extremely easy. You're in business in 90 seconds. Building a sled takes a lot more time, but it's not impossible if you take your time and have basic woodworking skills. The included instructions will give you basic sled drawings, but if you let your imagination run wild the possibilities are endless. A drill press and the necessary Forstner attachments are almost a must to assemble the slide, which I didn't anticipate when I bought it. Another reason to buy more tools, much to my wife's chagrin. For my sled I used 3/4" thick cabinet plywood and taped 3 mil thick PVC sheeting which made it glide buttery smooth on the table surface. I bought an extra grip for my GRR ripper and used it for extra control. I have painted the finished product and plan to add a plexiglass protector to protect against possible impacts.overall a great and well thought out product and I would definitely recommend it.
