Good quality, good buy.

I was very happy to find an HD garage lift that can lift up to 100 pounds as I needed to lift and move a 90 pound tandem tricycle to make life around the house to do a little less. overloaded. The product was well packaged and the parts arranged to facilitate inventory and upon closer inspection the parts proved suitable for the task at hand. The instructions were simple but the challenge was installing to a finished ceiling that would safely support the load. After assembly (see attached image) the Proof Test assembled with my 220lb frame in a split second with no moans, pops or complaints as to what happened. maximum load and my wife won't raise the tricycle after a solo ride but she can lower it down fairly safely/easily. Given the high lift forces, fine-tuning the height of the fore and aft separately near the end point of assist is a challenge. So if differential lift is required, it's good to anticipate the difference as accurately as possible. Lift one end higher first, then lift both together for the remaining distance, maintaining the difference. So far the rope hasn't worn out and the open design of the tricycle makes it easy to release the brake, which again requires quite a bit of strength due to the weight of my load, but it prepared you to take the load down. The hook alone is perfect for grabbing the structure on one end while using the strap on the other to balance the load. In this case the length of the strap was perfect after being pulled through the structure to achieve the perfect width for stability. Would definitely buy again (but I don't think I'll ever need it) unless a system can be found that offers greater mechanical advantage to reduce effort at high loads (increased lift time with much more rope).
