Review on Optimized Thickness Neoprene Durometer with Smooth Backing by Adam Browning

I used this product to make rubber pistol magazine blocks for my Ruger P89DC. No one makes protective pads to protect them from damage when discarded during competition. Using a bench grinder and a drill I was able to give them the exact shape I needed. I've attached them with contact glue and they look great and work well as if the magazines came with rubber seals from the factory. The material can be tricky to cut so make sure you have a very sharp blade for what you are using. Also trim it a little more than you need if you want to sand them down to size.
