I bought a metal egg slicer to be strong and last a long time. It shone like chrome. Nowadays, when there are so many pussies, I clean everything that comes in the house. Especially something that comes from unknown places. I unpacked the food slicer and put it in the dishwasher. When it came out, the shiny paint, not the chrome, was washed away, leaving a lead-like finish. It was not pleasant to touch. I threw it straight in the trash and ordered a plastic one. Don't fall for this product. It's cheap metal in a pot, painted to look expensive. It is not!
