I have never bought a third party lens. So I decided I would give it a try. I have some Sigma camera components so I trusted the name enough to buy a piece of glass. I mainly photograph landscapes and cities. I was looking for something broad. Even with a "fishy" appearance. It's also easy to add a fish eye to my collection. The images are sharp and clean. At f/2.8 it captures a lot of light. 15mm full frame looks great. I was careful not to grab my legs while taking multiple shots. The autofocus is fast, but not lightning fast. The lens construction is strong, doesn't rattle or wobble. It comes in a nice case for safe keeping. If you have a fisheye lens in mind and don't want to spend the money then Canon has got you covered...I definitely recommend it.
