There are a few things I love about these banana plugs. 1) The "springs" are strong, which ensures a good, strong connection between the plug and the device. They remain firm even after being removed several times. 2) The gold plating reduces the possibility of corrosion that can damage the connection. 3) Double set screws ensure a secure connection between cable and connector. 4) The body attaches to the ferrule - no need to remember to put it on the wire first. 5) Actual build quality appears to be very good. However, despite the 5 things that are really great about these banana plugs, there are 2 things that they do average. 1) The plugs themselves are too long. I have several brands of devices and speakers that fit banana plugs and these plugs are too long for all of them. They are so long that with my bottom sealed subwoofer they prevent the subwoofer from standing straight on the floor. I had to put 3/4 inch stands under the subwoofer's feet to get it to sit properly. 2) Metal body (aluminum). While I'm sure this was done for durability reasons, if something as simple as a paperclip falls behind your amp or receiver and stops at the banana plugs, it could short out the amp or receiver and seriously damage the fuselage. conductive material such as plastic or vinyl. Overall, these are good connectors at a good price, but be careful not to short-circuit them.
