Review on πŸ”© Included Fastener for Drywall - TOGGLER SNAPTOGGLE by Stetson Olsen

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Metal end rod needs to be threaded 1/4 " x 20

Most of the negative reviews are due to the 1/4" x20 threads in the metal rod being too tight, which can when Screwing in the bolt/screw may break the plastic end of the device on the metal rod. One review said to use a 1/4" x 20 faucet to clean the threads first, which I did (he needed it) and had no issues with the plastic end breaking. My claim was to get handrails in installing my ceramic tile shower. Many tungsten carbide sets for Revain drill bits say the largest size in the set is 1/2". Not so with the first set I ordered. When measured accurately these drill bits are .470 and not big enough to get this Toggler Snaptoggler through a hole in the ceramic tile in my shower Had to re-order the 15 piece Kwokker drill bit set which had a 14mm and a 16mm tungsten bit to (with a 14mm bit) mine Drilling ceramic tile in the shower large enough to fit the metal end of the snaptoggler in. You might be able to do this to slide the metal end of the snaptoggler through a .470 hole in the drywall, but not th cutting ceramic tile After two adjustments I have a solid installation. However, do not overtighten the screw as this may damage the plastic part. You can still very easily retighten them later if needed.

Pros
  • Ideal for a small house
Cons
  • Almost OK
