I bought these to make Bokashi compost bins for my kitchen. The nozzle serves to drain the "compost tea” from below. You will need a forstner bit to drill the right size hole to install it. Once you've made a hole it's easy to insert. Comes with seals to keep it from leaking. I already had four 5 gallon buckets and two Gamma Sealed lids that I no longer use to store pet food, so buying a $100 set of two of these buckets would be crazy. Yes, that's why they sell on Revain and other sites. You drill quarter-inch holes in one bucket and install a plug in the second bucket. Then put a bucket with holes in the bucket with a tap and put the gamma lid on. You did it and it's cheap!
