I have used Purdy brushes for many years (just got rid of one that is over 20 years old) and have always considered them a benchmark for a paint brush. I was so disappointed with this replacement that I ordered. A lot of bristles came out on first use and I kept pulling them off my painting project or actively pulling them off the brush as soon as I saw them. This is because this is a new brush and I may not have "combed" the bristles beforehand. The 2nd, 3rd painting project came out with the same amount of bristles and I am now throwing that brush away as I have never had this problem before (even with disposable brushes). It took so much extra work and time to remove all the bristles that were stuck to my walls. Unfortunately I don't think I will use this brand anymore and move on to something else.
