Review on KAIWEETS Dual Range AC Voltage Tester/Non-Contact Wire Breakpoint Finder - Live/Null Wire Electrical Tester with LCD Display (Orange) by John Bailey

This review is for the KAIWEETS HT100. I paid €13.99 for it. Overall a very good device. I have a detector with a higher end voltage, but it measures an initial voltage of 90 volts. So for low voltage applications this will not work. I like this device for its dual voltage sensitivity. For my low voltage/high sensitivity needs I found unshielded Christmas light bulbs. In high sensitivity mode, this detector worked very well. I also used it when replacing a socket in low sensitivity mode. Worked great. A minor downside for me is the dual purpose flashlight/sensitivity button. When first turned on, the device is in a low sensitivity mode, such as to outlets and live AC power cords. And the word "Low” will appear on the LCD. You need to press the flashlight/sensitivity button shortly to switch to high sensitivity. The flashlight button lights up during this setting. The problem is that the LCD always shows the word "Low". A little confusing as there is no separate high sensitivity button and no verbal feedback from the LCD indicating "high" sensitivity. All you have is a glowing flashlight/sensitivity button. Makes the device less intuitive if you haven't read the instructions. That's the only small problem. Also, this device looked exactly like the one Tacklife was selling, but it was a few dollars cheaper.
