This is a great razor for the price but you should expect to get what you pay for. It is noteworthy that the edge of the blade needs to be sharpened right out of the box. Maybe it cut, but it was ugly. Obviously sharpened on the machine, the maker didn't devote much time and attention to giving the blade a perfect edge. At this price point (and given other reviews) I fully expected to spend an hour on my set of diamond stones to get a high shine finish. And I did, and now the blade is worth twice what I paid for it. Of course, the steel itself may not be as good as more expensive tools, so I may need to sharpen it more often. I won't be using it often though, so it's fine for my needs.
