Decided to give the remedy a try. The tool came with fairly strong screws. Before using the tool, just to be careful, I went to Lowe's and tried to find screws that were the same size but stronger. It turns out that Lowes only has bolts of the same size and strength. Lowe's staff told me it was for automotive use. And Lowe's bolts were $4 each, so I gave up. At home I used the tool with its screws on my Impreza 05. The crankshaft pulley bolt was rusty and frozen like hell. I applied several rounds of WD40. I finally managed to shake him up. I think the torque was at least 200 ftlb. As you can see from the photo, the screws were still fine. I think the trick is to FULLY insert the four tool studs into the holes on the crank pulley. And hold it in that position as you turn the crowbar.
