I have a Harmony remote and sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, and I'm using multiple remotes again. 3 to be exact. One to turn on the TV, one to turn on the amplifier, and a third to change channels to control the cable box. Got this to eliminate 2 remotes (TV and amp) and it worked great. However, this is not entirely user-friendly. During setup I scanned the device and nothing was found even though I was right next to the device. The instructions aren't very helpful and don't give instructions when the device isn't found, but I tried to find the WiFi device and I succeeded! I have a Sony TV and a Yamaha amp and they both worked when I gave the brand names to Broadlink. Adding a device is cumbersome, but here's how: 1. + Add a device. 2. Remote controls 3. IR and RF devices 4. Select the Broadlink device you want the device to control. 5. Select the device category (TV, Amplifier, Fan, etc.) and then select the brand of device to add. It's done, I've synced with Alexa and now all I have to do is say "Alexa, turn on the TV" and Alexa will turn it on and off at my command. I've tried adding my Dyson air purifier with the remote but to no avail. After 3 tries I gave up.
