Review on πŸ’Ž Durable DEWALT Diamond Grit Oscillating Tool Blade for Flush Cuts (DWA4242) by Jim Moody

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Looks good but don't use on plaster.

Purchased for use on plaster. I've used synthetic diamond blades in jigsaws and hole saws and never had a problem so didn't think it would be a problem. The blade dulled in the first 6 inches or so as it cut through the plastered exterior. I have no idea if that's due to the quality of the blade or if it's just not made for this application. I don't think so, but like I said, diamond grit has always been a workhorse for me with other tools. The rest of the blade held up well so no major complaints. I ended up using a carbide blade on my vibrating tool and it quickly cut a few holes before needing replacement. Lesson learned I think.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Poorly thought out
