My rat Mimi loves to run on this balance bike. I attached it to the back wall of the cage. I can't say it's the quietest, but the sound it makes isn't a squeak, more like a thud as the back of the wheel hits the mount. But she's in the common room, so I don't see her in my bedroom on the other side of the house at night. However, I have learned that every night you need to check the little yellow flare nut that holds the wheel to the mount. You have to make sure it's tight. otherwise the yellow flare nut will come loose and with it the wheel. Once the wheel and cone were removed she chewed on both the cone and the retainer since it was open when the wheel was removed. Now it doesn't fit. 😕 so I had to order a completely new steering wheel. I have to check every night that the cap nut is holding the wheel in place. I got them extra large. it is the perfect size for her. Her back is perfectly straight as she runs across it at 90 miles per hour. 😂 I hope I can tighten the nut on the new one so the wheel doesn't come loose again. Unless. We need to look at something else as these discs don't come cheap. it's gone up almost $7 in price in a month since I bought her the first one. Wish me luck. I really like the bike, it's solid, she loves it and gives her the opportunity to use all her energy.
