Review on Globe Electric 44465 Charlie Sconce by Donald Blasko

The light itself isn't that bad, but there have been some very serious hardware issues. The color is actually black with painted bronze details. to give the impression of "oil rubbed bronze". The metal body is very thin, which might not matter, but so does the bezel, which will hopefully hold up to heavy glass. A hardware issue affects the looks and ease of installation. On the fasteners I received, the screws are not adjustable and are a full inch longer (longer than the thickness of the base). It took 6 washers on the screws to get the screw caps to attach the base to the wall. Clearly the wrong equipment for this lamp. It must be that many buyers have the right gear, but I don't. This spoiled the overall appearance of the lamp. To fix this I have to cut the screws and clean the threads which are very fine metric threads or find hardware that will fit or adjust. Both take time and are not worth it.
