Exactly as described. It looks matte at first because there are protective films on both sides. One is printed and the other only looks matte/translucent. Take both off and the Lexan sheet is completely clean. I ended up having to cut it for my project (about half an inch on one side) and I was able to do this by scoring it (quite deeply) along the ruler with a utility knife and then applying pressure. He clicked precisely along the goal line.
