Review on 🔧 Jabsco 18598-1000, Macerator Pump Service Kit for 18590 and 18690 by Jimmy Bhat

I had some problems with the Macerator pump and after some research it obviously needed a rebuild. The attached data sheet and instruction manual included the kit number, which I then ordered. Using a new kit, I rebuilt the pump and found that there was no threaded outlet on the pump housing. Luckily the old pump housing was still functional and I reused it with new parts. I emailed Flojet and the person who replied simply told me I ordered the wrong kit even though I used their own kit/part number. I replied by providing the part number in the manuals etc. However, in the end they made no attempt to fix the problem and I am very frustrated with them. It was a good pump but I guess when I need a new Macerator pump I go to someone who sells and supports their product properly.
