Life is a mystery and so are you.

I'm not clear 4 ohm separate tweeter or 8 ohm. It says 4/8 ohms, which to our knowledge could mean 4 divided by 8. As many have written, the sound is very sharp. This may be because this is an efficient speaker and I would assume that if it were a 4 ohm speaker it would severely overload the woofer and/or mids. The correct way to dampen this tweeter is to use an L-shaped spacer. An L-shaped pad is a simple circuit made up of two resistors. There are websites that will help with that if we only knew what the impedance value is. It looks like I'm going to build two L-pads, one 4 ohms and the other 8 ohms. I believe this tweeter is made for use in a car audio system. Sounds too bright for a home stereo system. I had a couple of woofers taking up space so I'm building a keyboard/guitar/mic speaker. I'm hesitant to call it a studio monitor, but it's exactly what I'd be looking for if I'm looking to upgrade. I use a crossover frequency of 2200 Hz, which increases the harshness of the tweeter. The lack of relevant information is why I'm giving it three stars. It's relatively inexpensive. In the box I received there were two tweeters.
