Viking Blade Black Ocean Shaving Cream is another great product. It has the same low gloss lather, very smooth and smooth razor glide as their Sandalwood product. Both are great additions and a great shave. As for the low gloss. The Viking Blade boys pride themselves on not needing thick Santa Claus foam to provide a close shave. I agree. This product moisturizes while providing a thin protective layer with a very smooth feel. The razor glides easily; no cuts, no burns. If you are looking for a slightly thicker foam. I find that applying lather to a shaving bowl works best rather than applying it directly to the face. (For me anyway) I also use a little less water than I would with other products. The foam is smooth and very light. As for the smell; it's light and fresh.
