Review on HON HON2281VA10T Lota Office Chair by Carmen Rosean

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Here you sit well while you work.

The armchair arrived in perfect condition. It was unpacked and installed in 5-10 minutes. It's heavy with a solid construction. The seat is hard but still a cushion. It's just not a pillow. This is not a sofa or armchair. It's comfortable and pleasant to work in, but it's a chair for working, not sleeping. I'm 6ft 2in and I find the back height perfect. Incline is well done. No need to choose gradations or just kick back or sit back all the way. The resistance allows you to sit at any angle without being so strong that you fight it. That means it's comfortable at every angle. The armrests are very adjustable. Unlike some other reviewers, I tried adjusting them as they slid back and forth and didn't feel like they were moving randomly. That's why this chair costs what it costs, and other chairs that advertise similar features can be bought for a lot less (or a lot more in the other direction of quality). Build quality is extremely important, especially with moving/adjustable parts. The mechanism is the easy part. They could make it out of styrofoam if they wanted. But it won't be long. In most cases, cheaper means just that. Cheaper. It was built from cheap materials. As a result, everything from the cushion to the armrests to the height adjustment lever will fail or stop working as usual. That is the difference. This chair will still perform all of its functions, like new, and a cheap chair after six months will suddenly have a worn upholstery, creaks constantly, the height adjuster sticks, but when you tilt everything to the right angle etc...there's a point. This is a well made chair. All the functions it performs, it performs very well. It's convenient, but not very convenient for work.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Periodicity
