Review on πŸ”ͺ Makita B-46159-25 4.5-inch x .032-inch x 7/8-inch Ultra Thin Cut-Off Wheel (25 Pack), Stainless Steel by Joe Patterson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

used to cut through a T304 stainless steel exhaust pipe (approx. 2mm wide)

Liked the way they cut through the hardened stainless steel exhaust pipe sections that I put together to install an aftermarket muffler on my car market. Based on my experience I'd say the best way to get a nice clean cut is to use a chain cutter to cut a decent outline and then have that nice thin blade cut through that groove - in a fraction of the time it takes it would even take a higher end pipe cutter to finish the job (for me anyway). In safe cutting areas (ie NOT under a car in your driveway lol) with a dremel and of course they cut much faster. Applying a small amount of cutting oil to the area being cut also seemed to help the blade last longer.

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Out of fashion
