Good product but unclear instructions

This item comes without instructions and comes with 4 wires: White for Ground, Red for Brake, Yellow for Turn and Black for Traffic/Gauge. This is a very odd arrangement for a typical wire harness on cars in the US and I think around the world. Another salty review suggested combining red and yellow and connecting them to the appropriate wire for your turn signal and black to the brown wire. I've done this and it works, except that when I press the brake pedal, a yellow light comes on instead of a red one. I'll come back and update when I fix this issue.
