It takes a minute to figure out and understand the way this describes various conditions. In one case I had, it didn't accurately show the power consumption either. The outlet was in good condition and properly connected - another indicator on the downstream circuit had a problem showing the outlet had an open neutral which was inaccurate and caused me to redo the outlet several times. The voltage detector is also the most useless feature. Not sensitive enough unless you plug it into the outlet itself, and too bulky to use on cords. You shouldn't bother about this feature and lower the price.
