Review on Norton Abrasives Aluminum Combination Benchstone by Douglas Davis

Okay, I don't normally write reviews but this stone really packs a punch. I use it specifically for axes and for the first time I was able to sharpen goosebumps with this stone. I just bought an old plumb bob with two 3.5 pound blades, beveled it sharper with a file, filed it (with some petroleum for oil) in a circular motion, sanded it with green compound on the leather, and it's done as sharp as I could want. A few things to note: 1. I wish it had something to store it even if it was just in a plastic box2. It works best for me when I bring the stone to the hatchet, not the ax to the stone on the bench. Still five stars because it's the best stone I've ever used. You need to buy a rectangular bench version for knives etc.
