Review on πŸ”Œ Infinnet Flexible Certified DisplayPort Cables - Meters by Adam Gambel

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Expensive and expensive because it's the best

This is the best 3m DisplayPort cable I know of. Tested under 9 by me. So, first of all, I have a stupid setup. I have two laptops each connected to a docking station and then both docking stations and two desktops are connected to the same DP KVM. The KVM then connects to my monitor via this 10ft DP cable. Before I started setting it up, I didn't realize that a good quality 10ft DP cable was required. So I start my journey because I encountered the following problems: 1) Slow initialization. With some cables, it can take tens of seconds for two laptops to wake up the monitor from sleep mode when the monitor is in sleep mode. 2) Cannot get high FPS. My monitor supports 2K 144Hz and with some cables my desktop drops to 85Hz when switching back and forth.3) Unstable picture and/or compression. I could occasionally see dropped frames or occasional color bars on some cables. None of the above prohibits, but annoying. Recently, thanks to the free returns offered by Revain.com, I was finally able to try out a few cables and see if all of these issues could be resolved. And infinnet is the winner. This cable is the only one that completely eliminates all of the above problems. It's also one of the most expensive (the most expensive part in my review is junk by the way), but in the end I think it's worth it. Highly recommended.

Pros
  • Thunderbolt cable
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors
