I ordered a Frigidaire cap, it comes in an Electrolux box and fits perfectly in my Whirlpool dishwasher. Happy times. This latch kit is pretty cool as it comes with an extra gasket if you need one. I ended up not installing that extra gasket because the gasket was already in the dishwasher, but it's nice to have in case I need it in the future. Installing this latch is quite simple. It took about 30 minutes, mainly because I've never had a dishwasher before buying a home with this hot tub with a broken latch in the kitchen. Begin by turning off the power to the dishwasher using the switch or fuse. You should always do this when doing home repairs, but it's especially important here because the latch has electrical contacts. With the power off, unscrew the screws that secure the front panel of the dishwasher and remove the panel. Next, locate the torx screws holding the latch in place. Use a #20 Torx screwdriver to loosen them. After removing the Torx screws, note the configuration of the electrical connectors and pins on the latch. You should be able to remove the electrical connectors from the latch pins (use pliers if necessary) and then set the old latch aside. Connect the power lines to the new latch in the same configuration as the old latch, then reassemble everything just as you disassembled it. TA Dah! Dead easy! The latch works well with my Whirlpool washing machine, although it looks a little different on the inside.
