So far so good and maybe the cheap feel is not that important. It just feels like cheap plastic and like it might fall apart if not handled with care.I didn't want to drop one because I didn't think they would survive.I guess since the actual chimes aren't handled at all once plugged in, it might not matter if they are lite weight and inexpensive, as long as they work. So far they work perfectly and we like them.The doorbells came with screws as an alternative to the 2 sided tape. No instructions how to use the screws to attach the doorbell though and it wasn't apparent.used the tape. It worked fine.Overall, for the price, we are happy.
