I bought this for my Johon pup. She is about 6 pounds. I am happy with the purchase. I wish there was an on/off button on the collar. The charge doesn't last very long, you have to charge it every night. The controller holds a charge. The reason I bought this was because my pup chases cars. I tried to teach her not to do it. She understands, come, but only if you want. This collar has three buttons. a sound button, another vibration button and a third shock button. She learned very quickly with the sound button. I really never need to use the other two buttons. Only once did I have to spur her on because she didn't come and chased a garbage truck down the street. She never did it again. The reason for only four stars is that the collar doesn't hold a charge and the controller is very sensitive. That said, when you put it in your pocket, there were times I heard it beep and I didn't want that to happen.
