My 'smart toilet' arrived intact and well packaged. While I was away when I arrived my daughter was there and asked why we are getting a 'smart toilet'. Anyway, like most people, we don't have an outlet behind the toilet, so I refrained from buying one, although I didn't like the idea of cold water pulsing on my stuff. Enter this gadget. Installation was easy and relatively easy, but I had to replace the supply hose from the check valve as the one I had was not compatible with this new seat. After all connections were made, the leak test was successful. In my case, I have an outlet on the opposite wall that I can later plug in with a GFCI connector. So for the time being I just ran an extension cord to the nearest outlet (15A cord). After installing it, I tested it myself and was pleasantly surprised by the work. I really like the "Bidet" and "Power Wash" features, especially since the water was WARM. Honestly, the consistency of your "deposit" will determine which feature to use. The "massage" function is better described as moving the head back and forth linearly to clean a large area without moving. Still, cleaning works well in the middle of a session, then a final clean when you're done, and a drying function to finish. After using it for almost 10 days now, I can say that my cleaning routines have improved a lot as I know better where to position myself. In the past I couldn't bring myself not to check the toilet paper, and rightly so. Now I'd say 90% of my sessions on toilet paper are completely clean, but I'll keep checking in the future anyway. There are various energy saving features that turn the heated seats on and off based on a time frame or timer when you're not in the seat. I'll probably hook up a kilowatt meter to see how much it's actually using. In general, I am very satisfied with the device. As long as you can get or have an outlet, this device will make a fine addition to the throne. My toilet is ADA compliant with an oblong shape (which means it's slightly taller for tall people) and this seat adds a little height. Definitely comfortable to sit in and didn't have a dead leg when doing chores. It takes a little time to get used to where to sit for better cleaning, but right now possession is a goalkeeper from a male perspective. *****Note. If you have a wife/girlfriend, just wait for the squeak at first use. The look on her face will be priceless, so don't give her any hints before telling her to use the wash function.
