I bought this camera because I wanted a camera that could be placed anywhere without a power supply. So happy I did. The camera was easy to set up and install. You operate the battery with the supplied USB cable. I attached the camera to the side of the deck with the screws that came with it. The camera captures my entire garden. I wanted to know what sometimes ignites my bright light of movement. Now I know at least one of the culprits because the camera caught a deer eating my hosta with clear video. If you hold the device in your hand, the battery seems quite large due to the weight of the device. I've only had it for a little over a week, but the battery level hasn't dropped a bit from full. So the promised battery life of 3 to 6 months is probably correct. I have already bought two more, one for the side entrance and one for the front of my house.
