I was looking for a decent passive controller to use as a line level attenuator between my DAC and the built in amplifier (due to sensitivity differences) and decided to buy this Bellari "preamp" to try. I love the build quality, fit and finish. Sounds really good too. Doesn't change the sound too much like the cheap crappy one I originally had. I would like bigger buttons on the front and a second exit, maybe a fixed passage or even an adjustable one. Definitely a keeper and we'll be worth the money for a bargain. I had a Channel Islands Audio passive controller a few years ago before moving to another state; I wish I still had this one, loved it, especially the volume knob and potentiometer, but it was a lot more expensive but well worth it. Anyway, I highly recommend this Bellari if you're on a budget or need something until you can upgrade, or just want to try a passive system.
