Review on JR Products GSNI 5300 10 Gas Spring by Jared Coleman

My 2017 Cougar came with a JR Products GSNI-5300-10 on the front door, it didn't work so I replaced it with a new one in July 2018, this one stopped working March 15, 2019 I called JR Products and the person I spoke to said it was less than two years old so it was still under warranty. Their website says they offer a lifetime guarantee. I would have to pay the cost of shipping the defective product to JR Products in New York and then either repair or replace it at my option. I don't think it's worth the time to send a product back hoping they'll send a replacement just to have it fail after a year or so. I will either go to another manufacturer or use magnets to hold the door open.
