Perfect for my 00 xj. The large side faces forward. It has a small embossed cutout so you can only install it in the right direction. I had terrible vibrations all the time except when idling. My old mount looked dry and cracked. It was worse than it looked when I took it off, there was no longer any rubber holding the two pieces of metal together. This mount smoothed everything out, there was no more vibration. The exchange took 30 minutes.
