Buy OEM Turbocharger O-Rings

I repeat what others have said about O-Rings. Apparently there is actually a big difference in the quality/durability of the o-ring. I installed it (attached my 2002 F2002 7.3 Powerstroke), fired up the truck and the o-ring between the turbine and bracket ruptured immediately, spewing all the oil into the valley and down the back of the engine. Luckily I kept an eye on it and turned it off immediately. I reinstalled it with OEM o-rings and no oil spilled when I turned it back on. , but it fit perfectly in the old socket I took out. I carved the threads with a whetstone, Dremel and Gorilla glued the connector in place so I could keep an eye on the oil in case the connector didn't hold (passed). If I had a faucet, I could provide the right thread. Also note that it screws in at an angle, not straight. Finally, the second time I did an install with good o-rings, I had a longer socket extension and socket angle so I could change the angle I was pointing the driver at. This made the job much faster, so I recommend having a long extension and long elbow for this job. Comes with spare screws with a standard hex which is nice.
