BUY FORD OEM O-RINGS SEPARATELY!

The parts then look fine on their own BUT the o-rings have been leaking for about a week and I see a small puddle of oil everywhere I park my truck, no leaks Before installation everything was tightened to specification. You would think after previous complaints they would change the o-rings they use. Don't be cheap like me and buy Ford sockets and turbo o-rings separately. Now I have to do the turbo a second time.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • I won't say anything

Hot Trash. Do not buy. waste of working hours. Huge oil leak

This is hard work that takes several hours. The socket didn't fit, now I have a very bad oil leak. I had a Ford diesel technician help me get the job done. The base didn't fit properly on the motor and I had to drill holes to get it to fit properly and installation was a nightmare afterwards. The pedestal is a waste of money and should be avoided at all costs! Spend your money and get a good one.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Negative result available

You are researching: Turbocharger

There is a 1/8 NPT male connector that should have been included, I didn't have it and overlooked it and lost all the oil on start up after reinstalling the turbo and socket. The included socket O-rings are not thick enough to ensure a good seal. I recommend that when you purchase this kit that you order genuine Ford base gaskets and inspect the plug. I tried to contact the manufacturer directly about 2 months ago and got no response at all.

Pros
  • Absolutely brilliant!
Cons
  • Upgradeable

Buy OEM Turbocharger O-Rings

I repeat what others have said about O-Rings. Apparently there is actually a big difference in the quality/durability of the o-ring. I installed it (attached my 2002 F2002 7.3 Powerstroke), fired up the truck and the o-ring between the turbine and bracket ruptured immediately, spewing all the oil into the valley and down the back of the engine. Luckily I kept an eye on it and turned it off immediately. I reinstalled it with OEM o-rings and no oil spilled when I turned it back on. , but it fit…

Pros
  • Heavy Duty Construction
Cons
  • Non Automatic
