I bought this to have enough cold water on hand and to save on plastic bottles. The heat has been in the three-digit range since the end of May. In the beginning everything was great! Only water has entered this jug. Around mid-June I noticed a slight discoloration on the underside, I wasn't sure what it was. Tried wiping it off and letting it dry completely, still the same. I've tried soaking it and then cleaning it, nothing works and right now I can't even get it back. It is now August and it is still very hot. I would not recommend this product just because of the rust that occurs inside the jug. I think I'll have to throw it away, and that's $50 thrown away. Pro - the lid is great and the o-ring is strong. The stainless steel mugs are a plus and the jug lid I had was really good. I'm giving 2 stars because the rust is non-negotiable and I can't think of a way to get rid of it. 😞
