I bought these shoes to play pickleball which is a new sport to me. I played tennis for many years and then table tennis. My knees hurt a lot from wearing old boots, and Pickleball has more backward motion than ping-pong. I can report that my knee pain has almost disappeared after wearing these shoes. I'm 71 so some toughness is to be expected. And I wore these shoes last week on a business trip that included an overnight stay at O'Hare Airport. Looking back on that experience, it's very reassuring to say that even though I had to walk many miles in this airport just to find food - and cots to sleep in, I never worried about the condition of my feet. Over night. It is therefore a very comfortable shoe even for normal wear. I was surprised to see that the white material is not fabric. It's somewhat shiny plastic but seems to be wearing well. Most of the black is made of fabric and is breathable. I also wear orthotics and they fit perfectly. So I'm a happy customer.
